Nestled in a wooded dune a mere 200 yards from beautiful Lake Michigan, Khardomah Lodge has been open for public lodging since 1919, and was dedicated as a Michigan historical site in 2000.

Best described as a rambling and rustic retreat, the Main Lodge invites groups of all kinds to gather and enjoy the simple serenity of days gone by.

The Private Suites offer rustic charm along with modern conveniences and are perfect for overflow guests or for couples getaways. The outdoor hot tub in the Hot Tub Suite is popular in the quiet winter months, when only the sounds of birds and falling snow can be heard. The Master Suite's wood burning fireplace and expansive wooded views are the perfect escape from the hectic pace of modern life.

Summer is tourist season, when the beach is full with families, and teenagers "cruise the strip" as they have for 50 years. The boardwalk shops are selling ice cream and the farmers market overflows with fresh baked breads, and the local harvest of fruits and vegetables. Named "Coast Guard City", Grand Haven has a rich history of tradition and is proud to host the Coast Guard headquarters.
